Sebastian Lang-Lessing, conductor | Jian Wang, cello

The Dvořák Festival opens with cellist Jian Wang returning to perform Dvořák’s best-loved concerto. Jian Wang’s splendid playing allows the sublime voice of the cello to soar to great heights. Dvořák’s charming Symphony No. 8, teeming with Czech flavor, is like seeing sun beams on a beautiful meadow. Enthralling, with broad expanses and folk-song like melodies, this symphony is Dvořák through and through.

Dvořák Cello Concerto Dvořák Symphony No. 8
